You are strongly advised to register
as soon as you find
that you need more than the demo version allows.
Talking Dictionary:
Registration of the Talking dictionary would allow you
to look up words with more than five letters in length.
ReadPlease:
Registration would give you a fuller product.
Speakonia:
Registration should be free and allow vou
to convert *.txt files into *.wav files
Mr Honey's Business Dictionary:
For EURO 5 you would get a full CD-ROM
with the whole lot of Mr Honey's Dictionaries.
This is the largest available collection
of samples, much more than the Larger Dictionary
on this CD-ROM.
It would allow you to search in 4 dictionaries
with one click and have the results
immediately displayed as HTML-files.
This is a collection of programs
all ready-to-run from CD-ROM. No installation required.
With built-in links to look up words in the best
ONLINE dictionaries from leading publishers.
Full use of other features.
It would take a full CD-ROM to fully desribe all that.
For the simple fee of EURO 5 this is a real bargain.
(That means something like a present from Mr Honey,
while competing products cannot reach this volume
or are at ridiculous prices)
On the 7th of April 1992 I pledged my word
at the 'Kultusministerium' in Munich
to give away the dictionaries as presents
to students and teachers all over Bavaria.
On the 13th of November 1997,
when we started to promote LEO
of the Technical University Munich
(adding our vocabulary to the LEO
making it the world-leading business dictionary)
I was told at a conference at the same
governmental department to be careful
and work at-cost.
That is exactly what I am trying to do.
LEO contains 'Mr Honey's Larger Business Dictionary'
since the 27th of November 1997.
