============================================================================ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Letter from Susan Ng at Online Education Ltd. (Sept. 25, 2000) Dear Winfried Honig: Thank you for your Email dated September 25, 2000. The total tuition and fees would depend on if one can get some exemptions. Individuals with a first and or second degree in Finance or Business or Accounting could get some exemptions. Individuals with the ACCA qualification could get the first 4 modules exempted. Generally speaking, the exemption rule is like for like i.e. apples for apples, oranges for oranges. Undergraduate level subjects can be used to exempt subjects or modules in Level 1 Foundation of Business Level, Graduate level subjects can be used to exempt subjects in Level 2 Core Subjects. If one does NOT get any exemptions, one would need to do 12 modules or 12 subjects. The tuition and fees would be US$860.00 times 12 plus US$410.00 as application fee and US$410.00 as enrollment fee. The application and enrollment fee are one time fee only. The total tuition and fees would depend on how many modules one needs to take. It will be difficult to give you an average length of studies because it is dependent on if the individual can get some exemptions. Each module is of three months' duration, the study load for a part-time student is two modules at time. There are 3 times students can enroll in the Program during the year i.e. students could finish 6 modules if they take 2 modules at each enrollment period. So if someone got 4 exemptions, that means he or she would only need to do 8 modules, then it would take someone fifteen months to complete the Program. Because there is no classes from December 20 to the second week of next February. The tuition and fee is payable in a 2-subject basis or Bi-Level Basis or on the whole Level basis. If you only want to take 1 subject the first time, you still need to pay for 2 subjects' tuition fees. There are 4 subjects in each of the three Levels. We accept the Visa and or Master Card as payment of tuition and fees. Alternatively, you can Telegrahic Transfer the funds into our US dollar account. I am sorry to let you know that for the Applied Finance Program, there is NO financial assistance at the present time. For the Master of Applied Finance Program, there is No exams that the students have to sit for. If there are Exams, they are take home exams only. May I ask when is the earliest time you could join the Program if you think the Program is suitable to you? Currently, we are recruiting students for the February, 2001 intakes for the Master in Applied Finance Program. Do I need to fax the application form to you? May I ask what is your highest educational and or professional qualification? May I ask what is your job title and what industry you are in? Could you let me know what you think of the Program after you have had an opportunity to review the material? If you do Email me could you send it to my own Email address which is susan@mail.online.edu I check this Email address every half hour. Could you let me know your contact phone number please? I just want to service your educational needs better. If I do call you the company will pay for the long distance phone bill. May I ask what city and what part of the world do you reside in? Thank you for your patience. I am looking forward to hearing from you to discuss the opportunity of introducing continuing education to you soonest. Thank you. Yours sincerely, Online Education Ltd.
